what's old, runs really slowly and makes an awful frightful jarring noise ?

my tablet pc which has outlived several of its companions.i think its almost 4 years old. wow
keep it up buddy i dont suppose you ll be able to help me in the classrooms though if your fan keeps whirls like an overheated cranky radiator every time i run a simple program.

the weekend has been one big technology headache and IT jargon.

from hunting down a non-existent audiotechnia office in some ulupandan corner of aljunied to trying to get my new mp3 to even turn on.

my mp3 is alive again! well not alive, i got a new one. same model same thing, just bigger. thats just me i guess. i like to think im the type of person who can eat the same dish 3 times everyday for the rest of my life if i didnt get sick of it.

play this kute stuff in the background as you read this! it ll set the tone!

so marks the end of teaching training!
am fairly excited about teaching, not nervous, anxious or apprehensive... not now but i suppose i will soon be.

so like how do you decide what you wanna do the rest of your life at a tender age of 18+?

well you....
pray i guess.

and talk about it to your friends.

i used to be really interested in teaching, and feel an uhhh quiet calling.
but towards a levels, given how hard i studied and under the influence of john grisham, i have since then aspired for, a higher calling.

i suppose me and guan hua agree that teaching is extremely attractive, save for the pay.
but but, i have come to realize, the pay for teaching probably comes in other forms.
job satisfaction, a better work environment.

its a content lifestyle!
aye. lost my train of thought....haha what the

by this time tomorrow, my world might be upside down. for now, we leaaaaaan on Jesus!

there is this....
little button burried deep within the framework of my head.
under the chips and wires. beneath the cogs and gears,

that forces me to automatically and instinctively infer/deduce anything that goes through my ears . that sends my brain into overdrive as excessive thinking churns out absurd conclusions defying logic and practicality. that causes my brain from to move lightyears ahead of my mouth.

i believe itd be a neat little switch attached to this intricate square of the circuit board running my brain.

how nice if i could reach deep down into my own head.
and freaking turn it off.

other times, i simply apply the manual override :
don't think, just do

has it only been four minutes?
yes. well, sure felt longer than that thats for sure.

kill bill is pretty awesome. finally something by quentin tarintino that doesnt irritate me
tuition is going great.
currently worming CS Lewis's chronicles of Narnia.

ever since my empathree baby died...i ve moved on to books.

Did you know, many people often confuse between being emotionally moved and spiritually moved.
both are similar and easy to mix up, but heres the thing, they re both very different.

music has the power to move emotionally.only God fills us spiritually.

drops of jupiter is the only thing ive been listening to, you want more lyrics from the song?

im postponing dinner for this. i first discovered stephen king i believe at the end of my secondary school life, after o levels. i rmb the very first book i read was Cell. so gripping and intense and ive never looked back since. to date, stephen king is hands down my favorite author, i ve never read any other author's book so much save for roald dahl. but to make comparisons on such a scale would be well...ridiculous to say the least.

a list.

The Stand
The Shining
Pet Semetary
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
Dreamcatcher
Cell
The Green Mile
The Mist
Everythings Eventual (well more than half of)
1408
Low Men in Yellow Coats
Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption

haha so few! yet it seemed like ive read alot more.

back to the task at hand. uh yeah, i originally wanted to record down my experience with Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption which i thought was probably his best work i ve read since the Stand. This book reasserts and reaffirms something ive suspected all along, that his books which stay away from the overtly supernatural, the horror, the sex, the dark disturbing areas, are well really sooo much better.(the green mile backs this up) and this is even more so i watched the movie first quite some time ago. who ever heard of reading a book after watching a movie! the movie itself was awesome(think pulp fiction and forest gump awesome) and im probably gooing to re watch it again later. might even get my mum to watch it with me.

i experienced a phenomenal sense of excitement and this tingling down my spine as i read through a forum post of people discussing their favourite stephen king book after googling it. its hard to explain really. judging by what ive read on the posts so far and one which i agree with, The Stand has been my all time favourite and one which i can safely say has been the best read i have ever had across everything i ve read. probably contending for best book too. i also complied a list of the books which i m going to read based on what ive read.

The Long Walk
The Dead Zone
Lisey's Story(i ve tried very hard at this but failed miserably, but will try again given how the true diehard fans say it rivals The Stand)
It
Salem's Lot
Hearts in Atlantis
On Writing
and of course, the Dark Tower Series, which im probably going to star on next.

on a side note, i read that Dark Tower I: the gunslinger is a real chore and i agree! and it pisses me off that i ve read it before and i ve got to read it again before i embark on the rest.

lately, i ve been thinking about how nice it would be if i could move to a far away private island far away from people, crowds, society with and live like a hermit nothing but a life times supply of books. right now (just right now) id like that to be a lifetime's supply of Stephen Kings books, but upon reconsidering. No. that would drive me crazy. i d probably need some heart warming stuff like great expectations once in while i suppose.

oh and to end of, with wise words from Mr King himself: "But it isn't just a piece of paper that makes a man. And it isn't just prison that breaks one either." Andy Dufresne, Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption.

low men in yellow coats - ripshitz.

stephen king is brilliant to say the least.
his horror novels are crazy intense and good and its probably when he is best known for.

i much prefer his novels not on this subject though. the language, expression and storyline.
ripshit in the words of Bobby Garfield.

to do: read the dark tower series.

wall e that is.

what a good, great, awesome, sweet, symbolic, relevant, lovely, touching, environmentally-friendly, superb, biblical (i read on wiki that EVE was called eve because like Eve whom God created to accompany the lonely Adam, EVE becomes wall e's companion, and that Eve is like the dove that collects the plant and returns it to noah's ark (the Axiom))
richhhhh film.

i wonder where on earth ive been or how much ive missed to be only watching it now.

it encompasses so many themes, the problems with over-dependence on technology, how handphones and computers become far-inferior substitutes for real human relations, how we're allowing corporate companies to govern our lives, the irresponsibility of man,the consequences of living the way we do now, humanity and ahhh what film would be complete without love! LOVE!

and robots, the first three quarters of the film is done without humans, there's not much speech, just sounds and movements and pleasant music to robots, and thats why its so so so sweet, how the actions and visuals speak much louder than words, when wall e does all the stuff to protect eve.

and wall e himself, such an adorable, lovable sweet robot, with his "house" and collection
surely it must mean something that this robot is the only unit of his kind left alive and out of his job of clearing thrash, he filters out and collects unique treasures to decorate his home with. from the egg beater to the christmas lights, to a thrash can for a top hat and the rubiks cube!
ahhh i really feel for him man

even more so its supposed to be an " animated film", it surely transcends your conventional kid's movie, its truly rich and a meaningful film and definitely watchable to all ages. it's idealism and fairy tale happy ending just bursts with disney and yet yet, its so much more than a simple kids animation.

in fact i wouldnt be exaggerating to say its probably the best disney film ive ever watched.

man, my review dont do this film justice .okay okay, going to read up more about it.
heres a few links if you wana read more:

review 1
review 2

but even so these reviews dont go deep enough, theres much more to the film im sure, im gonna dig dig dig

the rest of the holidays better not be like this

packing of room - fail

well, at least i started on my exercises again.
and organized my hard drive and read a book (the giraffe and the pelly and me)

kay its a kids book but hey, im reading all my roald dahl in anticipation of catching Fantastic Mr Fox.
it was the only book i actually really wanted but i dont actually have it.(anybody out there has it!! lend it to me if you could pleaseee)
for a second i considered applying lit and engaging the books for a more mature perspective but i decided against it.

it really reminds me of being a kid again and the stories are so...happy, idealistic, creative
in such an endearing childlike way.

oh and all the credit shouldnt go to roald dahl again, quentin blakes illustrations are so...superb. the cartoon figures are disjointed and incomplete and anything but life like but yet, so unique and fitting for roald dahl's stories.

im always always putting two and two together and drawing somethings out of nothing
sh'es right but....you are receding
